The Aikido Ryugikan Ajax, Whitby & Oshawa Dojo is an Aikido Yoshinkan Foundation (AYF) registered Dojo (Martial Arts School), which practices the Martial Art techniques and form of Gozo Shioda Soke the founder of Yoshinkan Aikido and Ueshiba (O-Sensei) the founder of Aikido / Aikikai. Aikido uses joint locks, throws and pins to develop the Power of Centre Line, Focused Power, and Breath Power.
Aikido is a non-competitive and non-aggressive Japanese Martial Art using timing, positioning, angles, and momentum redirecting the attack with joint locks, throws, and pins to overcome and control the attacker.
