Reviews of Arnprior School of Karate (JKA)

When most every school looks like Cobra Kai, it's a pleasant surprise to find Mr. Miyagi. That's right, I went there. But Karate Kid analogies aside, this is a great school with fantastic instructors. Their approach, patience, and overall philosophy are everything you could want.

As a mom of two young girls, I wanted to do something that would benefit all of us at the same time. It has been a wonderful experience; even with the giant age gaps between myself and the other young students. Sensei Garth Templeman and Sempei France Guillemette are patient and knowlegeable. Highly recommend!

My son and daughter are both members of the Arnprior School of Karate. I have found in my children a new sense of self confidence and respect. The teachers have always been kind and knowledgeable. They ensure that everyone shows respect towards one another. I would strongly recommend this school. You can have fun while gaining mental and physical strength and balance.

My son began karate at the age of 5 with the Arnprior School. I was desperate to teach him meaningful lessons of discipline & self control. What we gained was much much more than that.

My young son recieved the gift of the art of karate, it's teachings and the absolute attention of its leaders during class. They even taught him how to teach others and give back to the community.

We recently moved from the area and have yet to find another school that replicates the quality of exemplary teachers.

Karate with it's many facets is by nature not easy to teach and I personally found it remarkable how the Sempei & other leaders were able to communicate this to both young & old. Something I previously regarded as a "sport" has given our son strong life skills to move forward in life with.

I enthusiatically give this recommendation and have whole heartedly trusted the school with the well-being and advancement of my child.

Arnprior School of Karate is an excellent karate school. Instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. They train regularly themselves and participate in seminars and camps to improve their knowledge and instructional strategies. Emphasis is on personal growth and working within your own physical limits. Instructors are always encouraging and never intimidating. Our family of four has been training there for over three years and enjoy it very much!
