My Name Is Ken, One Of the reviews below I wrote and I personally know who wrote another and it wasn't myself nor Felix Ayensu. The person who wrote, and I quote: Residents of Halton Hills will not be fooled by the last 5 reviews which are obviously written by Felix". .....this is a small minded comment from someone who obviously has an axe to grind. I feel sorry for the community for the obvious attempts from the a former instructor mentioned in an early review to attempt to ruin his former instructors reputation to further his own newly opened school. I've known Ronny for 10 years and always found his ability to teach limited. Having pretty kicks and being flashy with a stick does not make you a great mentor and teacher. If he is truly behind this these attempts to attack Felix then I wonder about his moral. Any intelligent person would find it suspicious considering that these attacks on Felix didn't start until Ronny opened up his own school. If the allegations in this forum were true, then it would have been virtually impossible for someone to go 20 plus years and build the reputation that he has. To anyone with any sense, it is obvious that a group of people loyal to Ronny are trying to bring Felix down, which if Ronny had any integrity he would stop the attacks and build his own reputation on it's own merits. If he is truly that great, then time should be his measure and not attacking on someone who was his mentor for, how many years. ?

Residents of Halton Hills will not be fooled by the last 5 reviews which are obviously written by Felix himself no doubt to cast a shadow on the truth of his character exposed over the last several years. There are no stable instructors at the Georgetown location to speak of - I wonder why? Parents who have given notice that they wish to withdraw their children from the Georgetown location due to the lack of instruction and their children in the after school program not being picked up from school continue to have their bank accounts debited on a monthly basis. This is against the law and the time will come when you are forced to shut your business down. Your reputation in Georgetown has been greatly tarnished due to your questionable character and lack of respect for others. Even fictitious reviews won't help you.

Hello, I have been in martial arts for many years and I can tell you that if you bother going to Korea and to the Kukkiwon headquarters you will see that Master Felix is very well respected. In fact many of the people accusing and writing these negative stories couldn't show you their poomse if their life depended on it. In fact no one that really matters even knows who they are outside their small circle of puppets. Unfortunately, there are people in Milton and Georgetown who are threatened by another's success. Yes you have to pay for your child's grading and trust me the majority if not all the legitimately registered and insured schools have to charge to pay their bills. I am glad I spent my money on both my kids to train with Master Felix rather than on a criminal lawyer to get them off some vandalism or theft charge or drugs or alcohol addiction that affects many kids today. Every martial art facility has had guest instructors from around the world. The issue is they cant stay and when people are forced to leave they become desperate to stay in our wonderful country so they allow themselves to be tricked into accusing the hand that gave them an education a place to stay while they trained a great environment.

School and instruction is with out equal

Having been involved with Taekwondo since 1981, and other Martial Arts (Hapkido, Boxing, BJJ and Muay Thai) for the past 15 years, after being in many schools, witnessing many school philosophy's, instructors and there technique, Grand Master Felix Aynesu is the real Deal. But what is even more astounding is the quality of instructors under him (which is an even truer sign of his excellence). It is very rare to find the high level of quality instruction so wide spread in a school. This is not to mention that you will not find many instructors in Canada that have been highly recognized by the World Governing Bodies for Taekwondo in Korea (he is an advisor to technical committee for world Taekwondo Headquarters that issues Black Belt Certification World Wide and is responsible for technical development throughout the world). He has personally been recognized and has a close affiliation with the World Famous Korea Tigers Demonstration Team (no one in the history of Canada has ever received this recognition nor has anyone ever been able to bring them to Canada). an even greater quality is the life experience he is able to bring to his students, which is an essence to developing todays youth and tomorrows leaders. In Taekwondo and any Martial Art in Canada Grand Master Felix Aynesu is on par with the best. If you truly want to give your child the best training and chance to achieve there ultimate potential, Ayensu's Olympic Taekwondo and Karate is the place.

Have know Grand Master Felix for over 8 years and having trained at his school many times and with having a school of my own I can honestly/professionally (being a 6th Dan Instructor with over 200 students of my own) testify that Grand Master Felix is without equal. I have personally become far more successful after adopting many aspects of his system and instructional techniques!! His passion and support of his students and those under him is enormous and have witnessed many times how deeply he cares for those under him.

A great place to begin your child's success story! The Instructors and Instruction are excellent! The facilities are more than adequate and well equipped. The school offers multi-faceted martial arts programs all year round. A great place for one-stop shopping when looking for year round activities for kids. Short term programs are also available and the list of benefits are endless. Greatly impressed!

I have had the privilege to have my children taught in both schools. With encouragement, strong leadership and empathy from the instructors (especially Master Ato) my sometimes challenging kids have grown and transformed right before my eyes. I can't say enough about the excellent discipline along with the martial arts that they have experienced. Very grateful and satisfied.

My child went to Ayensus' for 7 years, he trained with Ronny until he was a green belt. There was a high turnover of instructors, some better than others. ... Master Dam and Angelica were fantastic. My son's experience at Ayensus' was positive, gave him confidence he didn't have when he started. Felix was fine to deal with, didn't have any issues.

Fraudster, Thief and Slave driver

My children have been attending this dojo for about 3 years now and over the past 8 months or so I have been severely disappointed with just about everything that has to do with this facility, especially the owner Felix. The instructors, especially Ronny, are what kept me sending my kids here and now every instructor has left!!! And why? Because Felix mistreats and disrespects his staff, students and everyone else in his life because he feels he's superior to everyone. He brings over foreign instructors who are NOT supposed to work on the basis that Felix will be furthering their martial arts knowledge when in fact Felix only brings these instructors to Canada so that he can take full advantage of them - they work from 6am until 9pm and they work 7 days a week and to make matters worse, Felix doesn't pay them! These instructors then have no where to turn because they live in Felix's house and are not allowed to have friends. Ask Felix where his most recent instructors (Angelica/Angie and Jordan) have gone - they were picked up by Immigration Canada in early December 2015. If you ask Felix where they are, he makes light of the situation and says they are just on vacation and will be returning. They will NOT be returning. It's time that the Halton community, along with the martial arts community, learn what a fraud Felix is. He's also been taking money from parents' bank accounts when he is not authorized to do so and most parents have NOT been able to get the money back. These parents are either out of luck for the money or are stuck having to sue Felix. Oh and one more thing, Felix is a complete liar and fraudster and doesn't have half of the degrees he claims to have and in fact doesn't have the education he claims to have either. He says whatever he needs to say to take your money! Sorry buddy, you've lost your passion for martial arts and seeing the children prosper. Time to hang up the belt.

This studio is the real deal

This studio of TKD is certainly the best of it''s kind in southern Ontario with many instructors per student and a grandmaster actually teaching. You will not see anyone over 4th dan teaching at any current studios. ..they are 1st and 2nd dans at best. Certainly Felix has a course of study that he proceeds through daily but kids there must apply themselves to achieve the belts and are not tested until instructors feel they can succeed.

At times Felix does seem bold and talkative to extreme but the stories conveyed are true as are his amazing accomplishments throughout his karate career. none can confront him and not know his abilities speak for themselves. He is also Canadian officially recognized link to the kukkiwon in Korea. .very accomplished indeed.

So give your child the real deal. .more than just recreational tkd. Attend a tournament to see how much more advanced the student from Ayensu's school are. ..you will be amazed.

Would not recommend

Firstly, I have a martial arts background. I had previously studied for 15 years (not within tae Kwan do). However my wife had decided to sign up my son for Felix's school. Just for the record, this is NOT how most martial arts facilities operate.

After attending a few classes it was evident that while the instructors (ie Ronny) were very good, the school itself was driven by money and very little else. I have just recently been advised that Ronny has left this school (not surprising)

The amount of stripes and colored belt testing is absolutely absurd, and clearly a money grab on top of the enrollment and monthly fees themselves. Felix does not care how your child progresses just as long as you keep paying.

I had the displeasure of having a sit down meeting with Felix (as per his request) along with my 6 year son and another parent and his son. Felix demanded to know why we had not responded to his invitation to join his "elite black belt program". He continued to explain to me how pissed off he gets when parents don't respond to the invitation (in front of my son) I kindly told him that we received no invitation (which entailed paying even more) and that we had no intentions of renewing within the school.

Not sure how this school has been able to be so successful based on the ridiculous constant belt testing/money grab. The only thing I can think is that the instructors have been keeping most to return.

I would advise anyone thinking of joining this school to do their research. This school (in particular) Felix does not have your child's progress as a priority. Money is the only priority at this school.

the floors are visibly filthy and the smell when you walk into this place is revolting. It has gone severely downhill the last three years or so. I used to take kickboxing here and the washrooms were so gross that I'd rather pee my pants than have to use them. My son has been at this school for about seven years and will not be returning. I will be going to look into Ronnys new school because he is the best instructor. Felix is purely in it for the money. Not many other schools have the coloured belts with two different coloured stripes on them. And half of the kids just get promoted because the parents suck up to Felix. He has his superstars who are from that, but continues to praise favs in front of others who are giving their all. Very disappointing.

Better than average but expensive

Our son has been at this dojo since he was about 3 and a half and would be turning 7 soon. Was he too young at that age, in retrospect, maybe but may have helped build his love for the art. In our years there, we have seen kids with their parents come and go for various reasons. Yes, it is very expensive in our opinion when you take into consideration the class size and the ratio of instructors. However, I do believe that if you want your kids to succeed at anything, you as a parent must help in achieving that goal. You must commit to more than one class a week, practice and talk with your kids about goals. Masters Ronnie and Katie were excellent with the kids and I wish they could be back. Grand Master Felix is who he is, like him or not, he is a Grand Master. He alone does not make the school. The instructors, parents and students do. You don't like something, speak up!The crop of present instructors are excellent. And like someone else said in here, no need for slander. If you do not like the school, state your reason and leave.

The so called Grandmaster Felix advertises himself as a competitor for the Ghana team at the 1988 Olympics. If you check his name on the Olympic website he has never competed at the Olympics. He makes his money by selling belts and doesn't care one bit about the character development of children. He is rude and so full of himself that if you try and question him he loses his temper. This school is about making money only. Be very careful of Ayensu Olympic Taekwondo Karate/ Georgetown Martial Arts/ Halton Martial Arts.

Acceptable place to learn martial arts

My son has been going here for approximately 3 years. In that time, he's developed a level of confidence and self discipline that he wouldn't have otherwise developed. The Masters that teach the kids are great with the students. They are friendly and work well with them to help them progress in a positive manner.

Grand Master Felix can come across as being abrasive with the kids, but I have seen what can happen with the students if the instructor doesn't have control over the class or the respect of the kids. Complete loss of control where the kids learn nothing and nothing is accomplished. As for the aforementioned "attack" on the parent, the parent started it when the mother got personal during a disagreement with Grand Master Felix. The husband then topped it off by aggressively verbally attacking GM Felix in his own facility, during a class with children, and refusing to let him carry on with the class or even discuss it in private. I agree wholeheartedly with Grand Master Felix: if you don't like the way he teaches, then simply go somewhere else.

Finally, why would I go to Rampulla's when the commentator has no personal experience with Asenyu? What do you know? As for Rampulla's, I have no respect for a business owner who publicly mocks and makes fun of, in a very unprofessional manner, the competition. Speaks of a large degree of insecurity on his part.

My child has been at this school for 3 years. In the past 12 months he has contracted multiple warts on his elbows and feet. The mats are filthy. Some of the instructors visibly carry warts on their feet. I am totally disgusted and have pulled him out.

I also do not agree with a school that charges you regardless of whether they are open or closed. They close down for two weeks at Christmas yet still charge for a full month? How is that even possible? There is no service provided. If my last 3 years of closures are not refunded I will be contacting the BBB.

Ronnie is fabulous and should open his own school. Master Felix should not be allowed to teach children with his aggressive attitude toward parents, children and staff.

This past weekend, yet another incident of Master Felix's complete lack of self control and total lack of respect for students, parents and his own staff.

Started off as one of his usual speeches about his accomplishments and how wonderful he is, and then turned into a tirade against parents who would dare to question him and disrespect him, and concluded with him physically advancing on a parent and ordering the parent to leave the school, all witnessed by a shocked group of students, parents and staff.

This man has no business being to teach children.

To yell at children and a parent in the fashion that he did this man should not own a school for teaching children. He lost my consideration of putting my 3 children in his school. I will consider driving further to take my kids to a school in which I observed and was extremely pleased with an owner who Is kind hearted and loves her students. East west karate intl

Instructors Ronny, and Kat are amazing. . I can only praise them for their passionate and cosistance attidude to teaxhing. . . . I've only had the pleasure of watching these two interact with my daughter, and should continue on their flawless path to teach and instruct children in this art. However, . . . I agree with previous review read here tonight. I have not been able to sleep thinking about the way he treated me and my nieces and nephew this previous evening. I took my daughter out of this school solely based on his absolutely dispicable display of disrespectful attitude towards myself and my family in front of both children and parents. I would also like to sincerely appolagise to instructor Kat for the embarrassment you had to endure. This was not your fault my any means and I wish you well

The instructors have shown nothing but a fun and caring attitude while still education the children about team work and discipline. Our child has found her voice and I would highly recommend this school.
