My son is 14 and has trained at this school for a little over 2 years. He has become a much more confident young man and it has helped his focus in other sports. I would not think twice about suggesting it to someone. I can only speak to our experience at the school but my son has learned that a little hard work can really give you some results. Thank you Justin !!

The owner is a somewhat famous ex-fighter with a bad attitude and a VERY unprofessional staff. I watched my 10 year old get repeatedly hit in the face by another kid, in a grappling class and nothing was done to stop the other aggressive kid. I asked if this normal happens in the grappling classes and was given a snotty rude reply by the owner. This happen several months ago and I had left the situation go since then. As, my son found another Martial arts school he likes. Where the teachers aren't so rude and incompetent. However, since then I've run into countless parents with similar stories about this place and how it's run by a recovering alcoholic who doe's background check his teachers.

This place is a joke, lots of little men with little man syndrome. Never really understood why the teachers and students at this Martial arts club had such a bad reputation around Durham, now I know why. Street thug mentality and rudeness from pretty much all of them. avoid this place.

I do not want to beat up this studio too much. However, the teacher at this studio seemed like first time students that were filling in for a real teacher. All I can say is avoid this studio.

The only black belts these guys have are the ones they purchased at Wal-Mart that hold up their pants. The owner Justin Bruckmann was very unprofessional and said I could have free lessons if I would have gay sex with him. First, I am not gay. Secondly he is married. He told me his wife lets him be with other men as long as he does not bring them home. He also told me that if his wife does not like it he will beat her up as he has done many times before. These are his words not mine. I would stay away from this studio entirely. And no Justin I will not say hello to your little friend.
