This dojo's focus is undoubtedly on practicality. As a student, you will be trained both physically and mentally to be better-equipped to handle life-threatening situations.
Training is designed to emphasize well-developed subconscious reactions to realistic attacks and fighting scenarios. In addition to combat, it encompasses preventative measures (awareness & being prepared) as well as how to effectively & efficiently run away if needed.
Shihan Paul Mann's taijutsu is an embodyment of Soke's taijutsu, and in my opinion, one of the best examples and representations of Budo Taijutsu at it's core. Having been a student of Paul's for nearly 10 years, I have had the opportunity to travel to Japan, and the privilege to train with Soke to see for myself. Having also witnessed the development of the other long time students' Taijutsu over the last decade, as well as my own, there's no question that this dojo is the best place to learn this beautiful art.
