If you have your mind set on learning mma or Brazilian jiu-jitsu then this is the place for you. The instructors are focused on the students and not so much on the money making. They take time to talk to the students as of they are a part of the family and not just a source of income. The entire facility is well taken care of and I felt at home there. I made friends easily because everyone talks to each other and helps each other out with learning. If you want to learn in a fun and friendly environment then the BAMA (name of the place) is the place to go. You WILL meet lots of people there including the TWO black belt instructors, Mike and Clint, as well as the many other teachers there. If your not to serious about learning discipline and self defends as well as self control then don't even bother showing up, they don't tolerate silliness because safety is the most important aspect of the dojo. I was apart of the family for almost 3 years and let me tell you. It was great. I would still be going but I wanted to learn new forms of martial arts. They offer a "free day" this is were you can just go for free to see if you like it. There is no fee, you simply just show up and ask to try it out and just like that you are a part of class for the day. There is always new and exciting things happening at the BAMA gym. With tournaments and competitions, occasional opportunities to meet famous UFC fighters, fundraising and contest within its own classes. Nothing is stopping you from just going and trying it so why not, just go out and try it, you'll like it.
