Enderby Karate is a not for profit community club since 1995. We meet twice per week to share the joy and knowledge that is the life of Karate. The Philosophy of Seishin Kempo ( Jungshin Kempo ) is first and foremost a method of self-defense. The discipline and respect taught through the lessons are used in such a way as to develop students to be non-violent in nature. Based on this principle, students learn the paying of respect to each other and to the instructor with the use of a customary bow, as the first major lesson. This is not a “new” style, but merely a modern approach to the practice and execution of techniques and philosophies. The actual “system” that we use is a blend of useful techniques from Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kempo-Jitsu, and Kickboxing. Our approach is that of practicality, and usefulness. With over 39 years experience, Sensei Tim has formulated the practice of useful techniques into a logical and effective “system” which is easy to learn and yet still effective to use. Again we are not creating a new style but merely a modern approach to the application of classical styles.
