Eris Martial Art also known as 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu was founded by Co-owner Stewart Landry. Providing quality instruction with nearly three decades of experience, Stew holds a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Richard Nancoo, a Black Belt 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu from Eddie Bravo, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do from the WTF and Than Phong Intercontinental, Black Belt from Grills Jiu Jitsu, Brown Belt under the IJF (International Judo Federation), and a Blue Belt in Karate. Instruction experience includes 5 years of Tae Kwon Do, 3 years of Judo, 7 years of MMA instruction through Eris and New World MMA, and an assortment of self defence classes.
Co-owner and instructor, Tim Gane is a veteran of Ontario’s Jiu-Jitsu competition circuit as well as a champion in sports like Judo, Wrestling, Hockey and Rugby. Offering an analytic and thoughtful approach to his Jiu-Jitsu, Tim can be found in the gym most days and he is available for private lessons. He also runs the Competition class and Womens BJJ class with the help of his wife Jolene.
Eris Martial arts combines the traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Sylvio Behring in the Gi with the fast paced, ever evolving, 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu of Eddie Bravo in No-Gi. They also boasts a well rounded kids program, with emphasis on anti-bullying and also a Woman's program that empowers with the Sylvio Behring progressive self defense system.
