The head instructor in Timmins is Mario Wood. He has taught in both Canada and the US. Also travelling to Japan for training.He has been with the Canadian Forces since 2003. He has been an instructor on Basic military qualifaction courses and at the unit level in Timmins for various areas of training.
In 2012 She was granted her Menkyo kaiden (complete transmission) from Gibb Sensei and shortly after inherited the school from Gibb Sensei and was granted title of Soke (inherited founder)
In 2013 She traveled to Pennsylvania to begin training with David Christian Falcaro in the warrior science of Sogobujutsu as a member of the Neji Gekkan Ryu. She continues to do so today.
Released honorably from the Armed forces in 2013 and being true to her soul she transitioned from male to her innate female self and is now known to friends and family as Holly. She owns and operates Wood Family Locksmithing as her income to be closer to her family. In all training she focused on being effective and pragmatic due to the real threat that are faced by Trans women. She continues her training to help her be able to walk without fear and enjoy life. She operates the Timmins training group in order to help others find that same comfort in their ability to persevere and be who they are without fear and be able to defend and protect themselves and those they love.

- Sogobujutsu
Programs & Class Schedule
Class schedule for the TIMMINS training group are as follows;
Classes are as follows;
1800-1820 bow in, warm up and class start
1820-1900 first period
1900-1930 free practice and familiarization of tactics
1930-1950 demonstration of concept by students to confirm tactics taught.
1950-2000 break. Water washroom etc
2000-2020 second period
2020-2050 free practice and familiarization of tactics.
2050-2110 demonstration of concept by students to confirm tactics taught.
2110-2130 cool down, tear down bow out.
End of each month is skills assessment. All students are evaluated on basics and concept. Through this the training focus for the next month is set to work on collective weaknesses.
Monday and Wednesday class are held in training uniform in the classroom setting. Fridays are held in street clothes and training watches, dummy cellphones, wallet etc to confirm what you have been taught in a realistic confirmation in a real world environment. This allows you to learn to utilize objects and structures (walls,handrails,signposts etc) to your advantage.
Currently classes are on a flexible basis with the students schedule.
This is due to my last student moving away with family. We keep class size small no more than six at a time to ensure complete retention of the material taught.
As of right now classes are at no charge to attend however gi and books are at cost of student. This will change once Mrs.Wood re-certified under the new system.
