Sensei’s Steve and Anna have trained and are educated in GojuRyu Karate from Okinawa Japan the birthplace of Karate. Their teachings are hard, yet fair. They only grade those that have worked hard and continue to better themselves -for themselves and their communities. Yet they have a lot of fun with their youngest students the Tiny Tigers the 4-6 year olds. Last month another dojo was opened in the town of Hanover.
I have had both of my sons enrolled at the Karate Dojo in Angus for many years. Coming from a larger city, I was very impressed with the calibre of instruction that both Sensei Steve and his wife Anna provide at the dojo. Both Senseis are excellent in the discipline of Goju Karate. They are highly experienced, extremely fit and they continually study karate themselves! They believe in lifelong learning and it is very evident in their approach to their teaching. They are great with adults and most especially children. The classes are very well run, organized and the kids learn everything from martial arts, respect and how to be dignified. The learning that the children receive truly goes well beyond marital arts. Old school manners and respect to other people are the cornerstone of this dojo. Sensei Steve leads the dojo with a firm yet kind hand.
The hour that my kids spend twice a week is great! Physical fitness, discipline, and the foundations on how to be respectful to other people is what your children will learn from the dojo.
Well done to Steve and Anna!!!
