Karate for Kids Kawartha Lakes
Karate for Kids
Our specialized program that has been developed for over 40 years by Bryce and Debbie Johnson. This class trains children from ages 5 to 16 in the art of Shorin-Ryu Karate. Bryce and Debbie were the first club in Canada to instruct children in the art of Shorin-Ryu Karate as well as training in various traditional Okinawan weapons known as Kobojitsu. Our organization are strictly no contact, children do not spar or make physical contact with each other. We also instruct children in programs that combat the effects of bullying. Karate for Kids Kawartha Lakes have developed various anti-bullying programs and have been guest speakers in public schools across the Kawartha Lakes and Durham region. We currently have two locations.
