Disturbing encounter driving.

Today August 25, 2017, I was driving through a playground zone in McKenzie Lake, when a black Hyundai Genesis zipped by me, at which point I decided to give a courtesy honk for the driver to slow down. That was returned with the middle finger, so I honked again for that. He was probably upset I was interrupting his texting.

This is where things got interesting. The light ahead turned red and eventually I made my way to the light with and was stopped beside the driver. He immediately rolls down his window and yells, "You gotta fucking problem with me doing 32km?" "I laughed in response and said you were going a lot faster than that. " He then responded in turn and said wanna pull over and take this outside?" I responded to that comment by saying I'm a wrestler (full disclosure). " He immediately pounced on that comment saying I'm a 6th dan grand-master. I looked at him and said ya right, as this is never the behaviour of someone of such caliber as he was presenting himself as. He then told me to check out his license plate for "odyssey" martial arts. I laughed again and said cool I'll give you a google review for this. Again he responded by saying I don't give a fuck! After the light turned green and sped away in his black Hyundai Genesis (still in the playzone), the only thing he was right about was that his license plate did say "Odyssesy1", for his martial arts academy.

As someone who has participated in a variety combative sports and is presently still active, I would urge anyone currently going to this academy or thinking about joining to strongly reconsider going here. There are many great fighters in this city such as Jessie Arnette and Justin Basra who train out of great clubs with proven track records.

Spend your money elsewhere

Very unprofessional. DO NOT sign a contract, they are unclear and sneaky about their billing practice. They Do Not respond to email communication.

Class sizes can get very large, and proper instruction gets lost in the large number of kids.

This place is brutal. The most unprofessional place ive seen. They treat everyone, including parents poorly. She talks WAY to much and our son didn't learn anything. We went there for 2 years, when we moved and had to take our son out they became VERY rude. Sent us a nasty email stating that we are bad parents and they would not let us out of our contract. Then they stole 780 dollars from my account. We are now pressing charges

The classes can be very large. We have had an instructor without a black belt teaching at times. My child was rarely corrected on anything as there were so many students. For the price you pay it is not worth it. The building gets ice cold in the winter as well as hot in the summer. This program seems very keen on trash talking other programs and businesses.
