I have been studying Martial Arts of varying types for over 15 years and Richmond Hill Karate & Fitness is an excellent school. The style of Karate taught there Chito Ryu and it has been operating since the late 1960s. The level of instruction is exceptional and the training atmosphere is very welcoming to people of all ages and abilities.

My child has been at this dojo for 7 years. It was fine at first, but over last three years it has become increasingly frustrating and disappointing. The dojo is poorly run, the instructors are not very good, and the grading is a joke. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to anything that goes on in there. Our team was entered into a national competition with minimal training ( we were told to train our kids at home, not sure what we pay the extra $500 competition team fee for) and none of the instructors showed up to the tournament. The management is extremely rude to parents (their bread and butter). Save your money and stay far away from this place.

The instructors are not as qualify as they say they are.

I have been bringing my children for several years to this center and the service has decrease considerably. The instructors are young man that are probably good at karate but do no possess the skills to teach. I believe that the manager is saving money by hiring these younge fellows, meanwhile we are paying full fee for the membership.

Wonderful dojo! Instructors are all professional and experienced.
One of the best Karate schools out there.
Ignore the previous reviews, someone is clearly bitter and biased.
Belts are not handed out easily, students have to work hard.
