Our mission is to consistently deliver excellent service and to provide value that enriches the lives of everyone who comes into contact with Tri-City Training.
We offer Goju Ryu Karate, Olympic Freestyle wrestling, Strength/Conditioning, Boxing, and T'ai Chi Chu'an, Self-Defense, corporate programs & workshops for group and private training. We have both competitive and recreational programs available for kids (ages 3 - 12), teens, and adults.
Tri-City Training is intuitive, is committed, and looks at the big picture. This combination of specialized education and mentoring, an holistic approach to overall fitness, as well as a compassionate understanding of the client’s needs, lifestyle, goals, and concerns, has afforded a truly unique approach to coaching.
KARATE:
We are a member of a Canadian organization of karate schools (Canadian Naha Te Goju Karate). We practice a traditional Goju-Ryu karate curriculum developed by Kyoshi J. Purdy, an eighth degree black belt who has over five decades of Martial Arts experience.

Programming includes CNGK Goju Ryu Curriculum, elements of fitness (Flexibility, Strength, Speed, Endurance), Takedown concepts (Judo/Wrestling), and T’ai Chi Chu’an
Head Sensei and Director of Tri-city Training (2007), Sensei Tom Cako, (4th degree black belt (Yondan) and certified Level II CNGK Instructor), began his training at an early age, being introduced to Goju Karate by Kyoshi J Purdy, 8th dan. At age 13, Tom was awarded his junior black belt, and is now ranked Yondan with Canadian Naha-te Goju Karate. He has had the privilege of traveling to Okinawa, the birthplace of karate, to study with Hanshi Meitatsu Yagi, 10th dan.
