We are a group of ordinary people studying the elemental aspects of martial arts and their applications without theatrics, mysticism, excuses, delusion, or pretense. We base our study around a set of concepts and principles that guide us on the path to becoming more complete human beings and truly worthy of the title "martial artist".
We believe everyone is entitled to competently taught martial arts and personal protection courses. All programs must be well-conceived and laid out in an intelligent and logical manner that benefit the progression of ALL participants. In addition, all rank tests must be relevant to the courses and to the materials studied.
Our responsibility, as both community members and martial artists, is to teach, train and interact within our communities in a courteous, moral, ethical, and responsible manner. Every martial arts student has the right to receive the best possible instruction available in a cooperative, positive, safe, and supportive environment. Our success is determined by the quality of instruction and resulting students, not the quantity of students or number of tournament medals.
