I can't believe these people have been here for over 40 years. Jim Wilson says hundreds of people have trained there but they are not a commercial club so don't advertise or get headlines. They are definitely one of the best clubs I've ever been to.
It would be nice if they owned there own space but they make it work. Mike Barber is great. He's one of the nicest most knowledgeable instructors I've ever met. If you want intensity, you should see John Bayes.
Definitely a great club!!!

My father trained here with the head instructor Mr. Kelly back in the 1970's and 80's, and I picked up training for a few years in the late 90's before I moved away.
This is a really interesting art with some really devastating techniques. It's not a sport or anything like that, so the strikes are to the eyes, throat, kneess, groin, etc. I was doing all the green belt stuff which was totally amazing.
I am now a black belt in TKD but the Zendokan style is still my favourite, and I still try to practice it on my own. There was a group close to me north of Edmondton, but I think they're gone now.
I just noticed some of the people who trained me are still there! They are great.

An interesting and very different art. No playing around here. An amazing group of people.
As a former student since 1972-2nd Dan Black Belt returning 4 decades later and resuming training, I highly encourage parents and teenagers to learn more about ZDK.
At 15 I dropped out of high school. I was lost as a teenager with no options for success.
They prepared me to challenge college exams to be accepted into the paramedic program at a community college.
As a veteran retired paramedic I now direct an international task force that mentors youth in the USA and Canada to provide quality and evidence-based education programs for addictions, mental wellness, crime, fire, accident prevention, financial literacy and much more.
